Job Description

A construction company is seeking a qualified and experienced Storekeeper to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and organizing the company's warehouse and inventory, ensuring that all materials, tools, and equipment are properly stored, tracked, and accounted for.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials, tools, and supplies
• Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock levels regularly
• Issue materials and equipment to project teams as requested
• Conduct periodic stock counts and reconcile discrepancies
• Ensure the warehouse is organized, clean, and complies with safety standards
• Coordinate with procurement and project managers regarding material needs
• Prepare and submit regular inventory reports to management
• Monitor stock levels and alert management when reorder is necessary
• Handle documentation related to incoming and outgoing shipments
• Ensure proper labeling and categorization of all stored items

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience as a storekeeper, warehouse keeper, or in a similar role, preferably in the construction or contracting industry
• Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse operations
• Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
• Physical ability to handle materials and work in a warehouse environment
• Valid driver's license is a plus
