About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Responsable Paie (Payroll Manager) to join a leading organization in the healthcare sector based in Casablanca, Morocco. This is a key HR role responsible for managing end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring compliance with Moroccan labor laws, and supporting a growing workforce within the health industry. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in payroll administration, social declarations, and team leadership within a structured corporate environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage the full payroll cycle for all employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with Moroccan labor legislation (CNSS, AMO, CIMR).
- Prepare and submit monthly social and tax declarations (CNSS, IR, AMO) within regulatory deadlines.
- Oversee employee onboarding and offboarding payroll processes, including contract generation, leave management, and final settlement calculations.
- Maintain and update the HR information system (HRIS) with accurate employee data, salary changes, and organizational updates.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries, resolving discrepancies promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate payroll journal entries, reconciliations, and budget tracking.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external audits related to payroll and social security obligations.
- Prepare periodic payroll reports, dashboards, and analytics for senior management and HR leadership.
- Stay current with changes in Moroccan labor law, tax regulations, and social security requirements, implementing updates as needed.
- Supervise and mentor junior payroll staff, fostering a culture of accuracy, confidentiality, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bac+5 (Master's degree) in Human Resources, Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in payroll management, preferably within the healthcare or pharmaceutical sector.
- Strong command of Moroccan labor law, CNSS regulations, and social security frameworks.
- Proficiency in payroll software and HRIS platforms (e.g., SAP HR, Sage Paie, or equivalent).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to data confidentiality.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet strict monthly deadlines.
- Fluency in French is required; proficiency in Arabic and English is a strong advantage.
Preferred Skills
- Experience managing payroll for large, multi-site organizations.
- Familiarity with CIMR pension fund administration and supplementary benefits management.
- Knowledge of healthcare-specific HR regulations and shift-based payroll calculations.
- Experience with process automation and digital transformation in payroll operations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Certification in payroll management or HR (e.g., IGR-IAE, SHRM, or equivalent) is a plus.
