About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Service Engineer to join our team in Morocco during a period of significant growth and platform modernization. This role is central to managing and optimizing service offers as we scale our infrastructure, adopt Unity Catalog, implement automation, expand self-service capabilities, and execute our Azure Global Tenant migration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the pilotage (management and coordination) of service offers, ensuring alignment with business objectives and platform capabilities.
- Drive platform modernization initiatives including Unity Catalog deployment and integration.
- Design and implement automation frameworks to streamline service delivery and reduce manual overhead.
- Support the development and rollout of self-service solutions for internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the Azure Global Tenant migration, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal service disruption.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, operations, and product teams to define service-level objectives and delivery standards.
- Monitor service performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement continuous improvements.
- Document service architectures, processes, and best practices for knowledge sharing.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers within the service engineering team.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Service Engineer, Platform Engineer, or similar senior technical role.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure (tenant management, migration, and optimization).
- Hands-on experience with data platform technologies such as Unity Catalog, Databricks, or equivalent governance tools.
- Proficiency in automation and scripting (Python, PowerShell, Terraform, or similar).
- Experience designing and managing self-service platforms and service catalogs.
- Solid knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) principles and service lifecycle management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems.
- Strong communication skills in French and English (written and spoken).
- Ability to work independently and lead initiatives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with large-scale cloud migration projects.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of data governance and security compliance frameworks.
- Certifications in Azure, Databricks, or related technologies are a plus.
