About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer with strong expertise in the structural design and execution of high-rise buildings, commercial projects, and residential villas in Qatar. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional ready to lead complex structural engineering assignments across diverse construction sectors in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the structural analysis, design, and detailing of high-rise towers, commercial complexes, and luxury residential villas.
- Prepare and review structural drawings, calculations, and specifications in compliance with international building codes and local Qatari regulations.
- Coordinate with architects, MEP teams, and contractors to ensure integrated and buildable structural solutions.
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical supervision during construction phases to verify structural integrity and quality.
- Evaluate materials, foundation systems, and structural frameworks suitable for the Gulf region's environmental and seismic conditions.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of design standards and workflows.
- Prepare technical reports, progress documentation, and client presentations as required.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of proven experience in structural engineering, with a strong portfolio of high-rise, commercial, and villa projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD Pro, and SAFE.
- In-depth knowledge of international codes including ACI, Eurocode, BS, and local Qatar construction standards.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in a multidisciplinary environment.
Preferred Skills
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
- Experience working on large-scale projects in the GCC region.
- Familiarity with BIM tools such as Revit Structure.
- Knowledge of sustainable and green building structural practices.
