Role Overview
QNB Group, established in 1964 as Qatar's first Qatari-owned commercial bank, seeks a dedicated Manager Investigations to join the Operations division in Doha. This Qatarization role focuses on leading investigative functions within banking operations, ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and operational integrity across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the investigations team handling fraud, financial crime, and operational risk cases.
- Develop and implement investigation policies, procedures, and methodologies aligned with QNB standards and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee end-to-end investigation lifecycle from case intake, evidence gathering, analysis, to resolution and reporting.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Compliance, Legal, Internal Audit, and Business Units to address complex issues.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of investigation findings to senior management and regulatory bodies as required.
- Drive continuous improvement of investigative tools, techniques, and team capabilities.
- Support Qatarization initiatives by mentoring and developing Qatari national talent within the investigations function.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, Criminal Justice, or related field.
- Proven experience in investigations, fraud detection, financial crime compliance, or operational risk within banking or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of Qatar Central Bank regulations, AML/CTF frameworks, and international best practices.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills with ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in investigation case management systems and data analysis tools.
- Fluent in English; Arabic language proficiency is highly advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner), CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist), or CCI (Certified Compliance Investigator).
- Advanced degree (Master's) in relevant discipline.
- Experience working in a Qatarization or national development program context.
- Familiarity with QNB Group's operations, culture, and strategic objectives.
