Role Overview
This Management Development Program is designed for ambitious university students and recent graduates who are passionate about the culinary arts and eager to launch a career in luxury hotel culinary operations. You will be immersed in the daily operations of The Ritz-Carlton Bahrain's food and beverage outlets, gaining exposure to international cuisine preparation, kitchen management, and the high standards of hospitality that define the Ritz-Carlton brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist executive chefs and sous chefs in daily kitchen operations across multiple food and beverage outlets
- Participate in food preparation, plating, and presentation following Ritz-Carlton quality standards
- Learn and apply food safety and sanitation protocols in compliance with HACCP and hotel regulations
- Support menu development and recipe testing under the guidance of senior culinary team members
- Gain experience in inventory management, food cost control, and supply ordering processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including banquets, room service, and specialty restaurants
- Observe and participate in kitchen leadership practices, team coordination, and shift management
- Contribute to maintaining the Ritz-Carlton Gold Standards of service excellence in all culinary operations
Requirements
Hard Skills
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a recognized hospitality management, culinary arts, or food science degree program
- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food preparation methods
- Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken); Arabic language skills are an advantage
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure professional kitchen environment
