We are seeking an OCC Specialist (Operations Control Center Specialist) to join a global leader in cross-border express shipping, operating in over 220 countries. Based in Bahrain, this role is integral to ensuring seamless logistics operations, real-time shipment tracking, and exceptional service delivery. As an Operations Control Specialist, you will be part of a dynamic team that drives efficiency and reliability in international parcel and freight movement.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control daily operations of the control center, ensuring timely dispatch and delivery of shipments.
- Coordinate with customs, ground handlers, and airline partners to resolve transit issues and maintain compliance.
- Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions for improved performance.
- Manage real-time communication with field teams and drivers to optimize route planning and delivery schedules.
- Handle escalated customer inquiries related to shipment status, delays, or damages, providing prompt solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of all operational incidents and prepare reports for management review.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements for cost reduction and service quality.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, or business administration is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a logistics operations or control center environment.
- Strong proficiency in using logistics software, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken); Arabic is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends, as required by 24/7 operations.
