About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Housekeeping Manager to support the daily operations of the Housekeeping and Laundry departments in a prestigious hospitality environment in Doha, Qatar. This entry-level management role is ideal for professionals aiming to build a career in housekeeping management within the vibrant Qatar hospitality sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff to ensure cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
• Assist in managing the housekeeping budget, inventory, and supply orders.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house to maintain high standards.
• Train and mentor new housekeeping team members.
• Collaborate with the Recreation and Health Club teams to maintain overall property cleanliness.
• Handle guest complaints and requests promptly and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Prepare work schedules and assign tasks to housekeeping staff.
• Monitor and report on housekeeping performance metrics.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in hospitality management is a plus.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in housekeeping or a related field, preferably in a hotel or resort setting.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Valid Qatar residence permit or ability to obtain one.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in luxury hotel housekeeping.
• Certification from a recognized hospitality training program.
• Familiarity with property management systems (PMS) and housekeeping software.
