Our client is a confidential VIP private residence based in Doha, Qatar, seeking an experienced and highly organized Palace Manager / Private Residence Manager to oversee the full day-to-day operations of a luxury household. This role demands exceptional leadership, discretion, and a deep understanding of ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage all household staff including butlers, housekeepers, chefs, drivers, maintenance personnel, and security teams.
- Develop and implement comprehensive household manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and service protocols aligned with luxury hospitality benchmarks.
- Oversee property maintenance, renovations, and vendor management for all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, AV, and smart home systems.
- Manage annual household budgets, financial reporting, procurement, and inventory control for multiple residences if required.
- Coordinate complex travel logistics, private jet/ yacht arrangements, and detailed itinerary planning for principals and guests.
- Plan and execute high-profile events, formal dinners, and gatherings with flawless attention to detail.
- Ensure 24/7 security coordination with external security firms and internal protocols; manage access control and privacy measures.
- Maintain absolute confidentiality and discretion regarding all family matters, schedules, and personal information.
- Liaise with family office, estate managers, and external advisors (legal, financial, medical) to ensure seamless support.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, training, and development programs for all domestic staff.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in luxury household management, palace management, or 5-star hotel/resort operations (Rooms Division / General Manager level).
- Proven track record managing large, multi-staffed private residences (50,000+ sq ft) for UHNW principals in the Middle East or Europe.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field; certifications from recognized institutions (e.g., British Butler Institute, Starkey International) highly advantageous.
- Fluent English (written and spoken); Arabic language proficiency is a strong plus.
- Valid Qatari driving license or ability to obtain one; clean background check mandatory.

- Event & Project Management: Experience managing large-scale events, construction/renovation projects, and complex logistics.
- Cultural Sensitivity & Etiquette: Deep understanding of Gulf cultural norms, protocol, and formal service etiquette.
- Crisis Management: Calm, decisive decision-making during emergencies or unexpected situations.
- Technology Proficiency: Advanced MS Office, household management software (e.g., EstateSpace, Nines), and digital communication tools.
Experience Requirements
- Direct experience as Palace Manager, Estate Manager, or Chief of Staff for a royal family, dignitary, or UHNW individual in Qatar, UAE, KSA, or UK.
- Demonstrated success managing multi-cultural teams of 20+ staff members.
- Experience with art collections, wine cellars, luxury car fleets, and specialized asset care.
- Familiarity with Qatar labor laws, visa processes, and municipal regulations.
