Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Judicial Litigation Officer to join our legal team in Morocco. This role is central to managing and resolving legal disputes for a leading provider of water management solutions. The successful candidate will handle all aspects of litigation, from case assessment to court representation, ensuring compliance with Moroccan legal frameworks and protecting the company's interests in a highly regulated sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end judicial litigation files, including civil, commercial, and administrative cases.
• Draft, review, and file legal pleadings, motions, and briefs in accordance with Moroccan procedural law.
• Represent the company before courts, tribunals, and arbitration panels.
• Conduct legal research on Moroccan legislation, case law, and regulatory updates affecting water management and environmental compliance.
• Collaborate with external counsel and internal stakeholders to develop litigation strategies and settlement negotiations.
• Monitor and report on litigation risks, trends, and outcomes to senior management.
• Ensure all legal actions align with the company's compliance policies and ethical standards.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case management records and documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Law (Private Law, Business Law, or Litigation) from a recognized university.
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience in judicial litigation within a law firm or corporate legal department in Morocco.
• Deep knowledge of the Moroccan Code of Civil Procedure, Commercial Code, and relevant environmental regulations.
• Strong advocacy skills with a track record of successful court representations.
• Fluency in French and Arabic; professional proficiency in English is a strong asset.
• Excellent analytical, drafting, and negotiation abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the water, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
• Familiarity with international arbitration and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanisms.
• Certification in compliance or risk management.
• Proficiency with legal technology tools and case management software.
