About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal APC Specialist to collaborate with the Department Manager in the implementation of APC, OPT, OMAS, and BPC projects. This role focuses on aligning departmental initiatives to optimize process applications, improve performance, and drive operational excellence in Bahrain.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead the deployment and maintenance of Advanced Process Control (APC) solutions across manufacturing and industrial processes.
• Work closely with the Department Manager to align project goals with broader departmental strategies.
• Optimize process applications to enhance efficiency, reduce variability, and increase throughput.
• Support the implementation of OPT, OMAS, and BPC systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
• Analyze process data to identify improvement opportunities and recommend control strategy adjustments.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers and operations teams.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and maintain high reliability.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Control, or a related field.
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in APC, process control, or optimization within refining, petrochemical, or heavy industry.
• Proven track record in implementing and managing APC/OPT/OMAS/BPC projects.
• Strong knowledge of DCS, PLC, and industrial automation systems.
• Familiarity with process simulation and modeling tools (e.g., Aspen, Honeywell, Yokogawa).

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the Middle East energy or chemical sector.
• Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Process Optimization.
• Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
