About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Logistics Specialist to join the Procurement department in Doha, Qatar. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient movement of freight, both incoming and outgoing, and maintaining accurate inventory control. The Logistics Specialist will support the logistics section to streamline operations, optimize supply chain processes, and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the procurement function.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor freight movement for incoming and outgoing consignments to ensure timely delivery.
• Assist in inventory control activities, including stock counts, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to resolve logistics issues.
• Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, customs clearance paperwork, and records.
• Track shipments and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Support the procurement team in vendor management and order fulfillment.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement in logistics operations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and international trade regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain coordination.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management and shipping procedures.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the Qatar or GCC logistics market.
• Familiarity with customs regulations and documentation in Qatar.
• Certification in logistics or supply chain (e.g., CSCP, CLTD).
• Bilingual in English and Arabic is a plus.
