Role Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Dock Master to support the Dock Master in managing daily docking and undocking operations at our floating dock facility in Qatar. This role is essential for ensuring safe and efficient vessel movements within the quay side area.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Dock Master in coordinating day-to-day docking and undocking operations for the floating dock.
• Support quay side vessel movements and shifting operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate logbooks of all docking activities, including vessel arrivals, departures, and berth assignments.
• Monitor mooring lines, fenders, and other docking equipment to ensure operational readiness.
• Communicate effectively with vessel crews, tug operators, and port authorities to facilitate smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a floating dock or port environment.
• Knowledge of docking procedures, vessel handling, and mooring techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain precise records.
• Valid certifications as required by local maritime regulations.
