Site Supervisor

A Civil Supervisor is responsible for overseeing civil construction work on-site and making sure projects are completed safely, correctly, and on schedule. The role is common in construction, infrastructure, oil & gas, and industrial projects.

Typical responsibilities include:

Supervising daily civil construction activities
Managing workers, subcontractors, and site labor
Reading and interpreting construction drawings and plans
Ensuring work follows project specifications and quality standards
Monitoring progress and reporting to engineers or project managers
Checking materials, equipment, and manpower availability
Enforcing safety procedures and site regulations
Coordinating with other departments (electrical, mechanical, QA/QC, HSE)
Inspecting concrete work, excavation, steel fixing, formwork, masonry, etc.
Solving site problems and technical issues
Maintaining daily site reports and documentation
Ensuring projects finish within schedule and budget
