A cashier is responsible for processing transactions for
customers purchasing goods or services. Their duties typically
include: Greeting Customers: Cashiers greet customers entering
the establishment in a friendly and professional

money in the register matches the sales
transactions. Reporting Issues: Cashiers report any
discrepancies or issues with transactions or the cash register to
their supervisor. Following Procedures: Cashiers follow
company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, refunds,
and other transactions. Upselling: In some establishments,
cashiers may be responsible for suggesting additional items or
promotions to customers to increase sales. Providing Receipts:
Cashiers provide customers with receipts for their purchases,
either printed or electronically.
