About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Culinary Director to lead and oversee all culinary operations across our properties. The Culinary Director will be responsible for driving excellence in food quality, menu development, kitchen management, and team leadership while upholding the brand's commitment to sustainability and world-class dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute innovative, sustainable menus that reflect local and international culinary trends
- Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene
- Lead, mentor, and manage culinary teams across multiple properties
- Establish and maintain food cost controls, budgeting, and inventory management
- Collaborate with procurement to source sustainable, locally grown, and ethically produced ingredients
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Design and implement training programs for kitchen staff to elevate culinary skills and service standards
- Work closely with the executive team to align culinary strategy with overall brand vision and guest experience goals
- Introduce seasonal and themed dining experiences to enhance guest satisfaction
- Monitor guest feedback and continuously improve menu offerings and service delivery
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience as a Culinary Director, Executive Chef, or in a senior culinary leadership role within luxury hotels or resorts
- Strong background in international cuisine, menu engineering, and food & beverage management
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and develop culinary talent
- Deep knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP, and sanitation protocols
- Experience in budgeting, cost control, and financial management within culinary operations
- Passion for sustainability, farm-to-table practices, and eco-conscious hospitality
- Outstanding communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-property environment
- Relevant culinary degree or certification from a recognized institution is preferred

This position is based in Bahrain, with potential travel to Mantis properties worldwide.
