About the Role
Join the world-renowned hospitality team at The Ritz-Carlton, Doha as a Recreation Experience Expert – Pool Attendant. In this role, you will deliver exceptional guest experiences at the hotel's premium pool and recreation facilities, upholding the legendary Ritz-Carlton service standards. You will be the face of luxury hospitality, ensuring every guest interaction reflects warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding hospitality and personalized service to all pool and recreation area guests at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the pool deck, loungers, cabanas, and surrounding recreation areas.
- Set up, arrange, and replenish towels, water stations, sunscreen, and guest amenities throughout the pool area.
- Monitor pool safety conditions and promptly report any hazards, maintenance issues, or incidents to the Recreation Supervisor or Lifeguard on duty.
- Assist guests with poolside food and beverage service, ensuring timely and accurate order delivery.
- Respond to guest requests, inquiries, and special needs with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
- Coordinate with the recreation, spa, and food & beverage teams to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Conduct regular inventory checks of pool supplies, linens, and equipment, and communicate restocking needs promptly.
- Uphold all health, safety, and hygiene standards in compliance with hotel policies and local regulations.
- Participate in daily briefings, training sessions, and team meetings as required.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of poolside events, activities, and special functions.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor consistent with The Ritz-Carlton brand standards at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a luxury hotel, resort, or high-end recreation facility is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of poolside hospitality, guest service excellence, and recreation operations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine passion for guest satisfaction.
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment in warm weather conditions for extended periods.
- Physically fit and able to stand, walk, bend, and lift supplies throughout the shift.
- Flexible availability to work shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures in a pool and recreation environment.
- Professional grooming and presentation aligned with a luxury hospitality brand.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a diverse, multicultural team.
Preferred Skills
- Certification in CPR, First Aid, or lifeguard training is a strong advantage.
- Experience working with international hotel brands or five-star properties.
- Familiarity with The Ritz-Carlton service culture and Gold Standards.
- Multilingual abilities are a plus, particularly English and Arabic.
- Knowledge of pool maintenance basics and water quality standards.
