Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team in Qatar. This expert is dedicated to the administration and security of the Microsoft cloud ecosystem. Operating at the Solutions Architect level, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing robust cloud infrastructure that drives business transformation and operational excellence.
Core Responsibilities
- Administer and secure the Microsoft Azure cloud ecosystem, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance with security standards.
- Design and implement cloud solutions at the Solutions Architect level, aligning technical strategies with business objectives.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure, including virtual networks, storage, compute resources, and identity management.
- Implement and maintain cloud security best practices, including access controls, encryption, and threat protection.
- Monitor cloud environments for performance, cost efficiency, and reliability, proactively resolving issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to migrate on-premises workloads to the Microsoft cloud.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and infrastructure-as-code templates for efficient cloud deployment.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members on cloud engineering best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience at the Solutions Architect level in cloud computing and infrastructure management.
- Mandatory Technical Certification: Microsoft Azure certification (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate).
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure services, including Azure AD, Azure Security Center, Azure Monitor, and Azure Policy.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, hybrid cloud architectures, and enterprise security frameworks.
- Proficiency in automation and scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Terraform.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with multi-cloud environments and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and enterprise IT governance.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
