Role Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and organized Stock Manager (Gestionnaire des Stocks) to join our growing team in Algiers. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing inventory flows, ensuring accurate stock levels, and implementing efficient inventory control procedures. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all inventory operations, including receiving, storage, and distribution of goods.
- Optimize stock levels to minimize carrying costs while preventing stockouts.
- Implement and maintain inventory control systems and procedures (e.g., FIFO, cycle counting, ABC analysis).
- Monitor stock movements, track discrepancies, and conduct regular physical inventories.
- Coordinate with purchasing and supply chain teams to forecast demand and plan replenishment.
- Generate accurate inventory reports, including stock valuation, turnover rates, and aging analysis.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in the warehouse.
- Train and supervise warehouse staff on proper handling, labeling, and documentation procedures.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and lead initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve delivery issues and quality concerns.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Stock Manager, Inventory Controller, or similar role (minimum 3 years).
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, warehouse operations, and stock optimization techniques.
- Proficiency in ERP/Inventory Management Systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Odoo, or similar).
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities with high attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
- Effective communication skills in French and Arabic; English is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification in Supply Chain or Inventory Management (e.g., CPIM, CSCP).
- Experience in the Algerian market or similar regulatory environment.
- Familiarity with lean management and continuous improvement methodologies (Kaizen, Six Sigma).
- Experience managing hazardous materials or specialized inventory categories.
Work Environment
