About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Barista to join our Lobby Lounge team in a premium hotel setting. This role focuses on delivering exceptional coffee experiences and personalized service to guests in an elegant lounge atmosphere.

Core Responsibilities

• Execute opening and closing procedures including equipment setup, supply stocking, and thorough cleaning of all workstations.


• Prepare and serve a wide range of specialty coffee beverages, teas, and light refreshments following established recipes and presentation standards.


• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of coffee origins, brewing methods, and flavor profiles to guide guest selections.


• Ensure consistent quality control for all beverages, including espresso calibration, milk texturing, and garnish precision.


• Manage inventory levels for coffee beans, syrups, milk alternatives, and dry goods; communicate replenishment needs promptly.


• Uphold health, safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with hotel policies and local regulations.


• Engage with guests to provide personalized recommendations, accommodate dietary preferences, and resolve service inquiries.


• Collaborate with the Food & Beverage team to support lounge operations during peak periods and special events.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Barista in a high-volume hotel, specialty coffee shop, or upscale lounge environment.


• Proficiency in espresso machine operation, grinder calibration, and manual brewing methods (pour-over, AeroPress, French press).


• Strong understanding of coffee bean varieties, roast levels, and extraction principles.


• Excellent guest service skills with the ability to communicate fluently in English; Arabic language proficiency is a plus.


• Ability to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.


• High school diploma or equivalent; formal barista certification (SCA, BSCA) preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Latte art proficiency and creative beverage presentation.


• Experience with POS systems (Micros, Opera, or similar hospitality platforms).


• Knowledge of tea service, cocktail basics, and light food pairing.


• Previous luxury hotel or five-star resort experience.


• Training in hospitality management or culinary arts.
