Reservation Agent Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Reservation Agent to join our team in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing booking inquiries, processing reservations, and delivering exceptional customer service across multiple communication channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle incoming reservation requests via phone, email, and online booking systems
- Process individual and group bookings accurately and efficiently
- Provide detailed information on room types, rates, packages, amenities, and hotel policies
- Manage reservation modifications, cancellations, and special requests
- Coordinate with front desk, housekeeping, and sales teams to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of property facilities, local attractions, and promotional offers
- Resolve guest complaints and escalate complex issues to management when necessary
- Generate daily reservation reports and monitor booking trends
- Ensure compliance with revenue management strategies and rate parity guidelines
- Assist with walk-in guests and overflow reservations during peak periods
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality degree or certification preferred
- Proven experience as a Reservation Agent, Front Desk Agent, or similar role in hospitality
- Proficiency with Property Management Systems (PMS) such as Opera, Fidelio, or Amadeus
- Strong command of English; Arabic or additional languages are a significant advantage
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding customer service orientation with a professional phone manner
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail
- Strong computer literacy including MS Office and reservation platforms
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required
Preferred Skills & Competencies
- Experience with Central Reservation Systems (CRS) and Global Distribution Systems (GDS)
- Knowledge of revenue management principles and yield optimization
- Familiarity with channel management and OTA platforms (Booking.com, Expedia, etc.)
- Upselling and cross-selling techniques to maximize revenue per booking
- Problem-solving abilities and conflict resolution skills
- Team collaboration and interdepartmental coordination experience
Work Environment
This position is based in Qatar within a dynamic hospitality setting. The Reservation Agent will work in a professional office environment with standard shift rotations. The role requires prolonged periods of sitting, computer use, and continuous communication with guests and internal stakeholders.

High-performing Reservation Agents may advance to Senior Reservation Agent, Reservation Supervisor, Revenue Analyst, or Front Office Management roles. Ongoing training in hospitality technology, revenue management, and leadership development is provided.
