Role Overview

Nile University, established in 2006 as Egypt's first entrepreneurial research-based national university under Presidential Decree #255/2006, seeks a qualified Teaching Assistant ARUD to join its academic faculty. This position supports undergraduate and graduate instruction in Arabic rhetoric, prosody, and linguistic sciences within a research-intensive environment. The successful candidate will contribute to curriculum delivery, student mentorship, and scholarly activities at a leading Egyptian higher education institution located in Sheikh Zayed City, Giza.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist lead professors in preparing and delivering ARUD curriculum covering Arabic prosody, meter analysis, and rhetorical devices
• Conduct tutorial sessions and laboratory workshops for undergraduate students in Arabic linguistic sciences
• Grade assignments, examinations, and research papers with detailed feedback on classical Arabic poetry analysis and metrical criticism
• Support faculty in developing course materials, syllabi, and assessment rubrics aligned with Nile University academic standards
• Mentor students on research methodologies in Arabic philology and Quranic recitation sciences
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum review committees, and accreditation processes
• Engage in scholarly research and contribute to publications in Arabic language and literature journals
• Supervise student projects and theses related to prosodic theory and rhetorical analysis

Requirements

Hard Skills & Academic Qualifications

• Master's degree in Arabic Language, Islamic Studies, Linguistics, or closely related field from an accredited university
• Demonstrated expertise in ARUD (Arabic Prosody), Ilm al-Badi, Ilm al-Bayan, and Quranic Tajweed
• Proficiency in classical Arabic texts analysis including Kitab al-Ayn, Al-Mu'tazila works, and medieval rhetorical treatises
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (Moodle, Blackboard) and academic software for textual analysis
• Strong academic writing skills in both Arabic and English for research publication
• Familiarity with digital humanities tools for Arabic corpus linguistics
