Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Reservations Agent to join our hospitality team in Qatar. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for guests seeking accommodation, ensuring a seamless booking experience from inquiry to confirmation.

Key Responsibilities

• Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received via phone, fax, email, or online booking systems.
• Identify guest needs and preferences to recommend the most suitable room type and rate.
• Verify room availability and confirm bookings accurately in the property management system (PMS).
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel facilities, promotions, and local attractions to answer guest inquiries.
• Coordinate with front desk, housekeeping, and other departments to ensure guest requests are fulfilled.
• Handle special requests such as early check-in, late check-out, and room preferences.
• Resolve booking discrepancies and guest complaints professionally and promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of reservations, deposits, and payment details.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality or tourism is preferred.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in hotel reservations, front office, or a similar customer service role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
• Proficiency in hotel reservation software (e.g., Opera, Amadeus, or similar PMS).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional phone etiquette and active listening skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Sales-oriented mindset with a focus on upselling room categories and packages.

Experience

Prior experience as a Reservations Agent, Front Desk Agent, or Guest Service Agent in a hotel or resort is highly desirable. Familiarity with revenue management principles and online travel agencies (OTAs) is a plus.
