We are seeking a dedicated Steward Supervisor to join a dynamic hospitality operation in Bahrain. This role involves leading the stewarding team to ensure impeccable cleanliness standards across kitchen and banquet areas. The successful candidate will oversee daily stewarding operations, manage chemical safety protocols, and support high-volume banquet events. This position offers the opportunity to work within a fast-paced hotel or resort environment where operational excellence is paramount.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate stewarding staff to maximize cleaning efficiency during peak service hours.
- Monitor and document water temperature and chemical concentration levels to meet sanitation compliance.
- Assist with banquet plate-up, setup, and breakdown ensuring timely execution for events.
- Conduct regular inspections of pot wash, dishwashing, and back-of-house areas for hygiene standards.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, detergents, and equipment; place requisitions as needed.
- Train new stewards on proper handling of china, glassware, silverware, and kitchen equipment.
- Enforce HACCP guidelines and workplace safety procedures across all stewarding shifts.
- Coordinate with Chef de Partie and Banquet Managers to align stewarding support with service demands.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Stewarding Supervisor, Chief Steward, or Kitchen Steward Lead in a 4/5-star hotel.
- Strong knowledge of chemical dilution ratios, MSDS sheets, and industrial dishwashing machinery.
- Ability to lead a diverse team, schedule shifts, and conduct performance coaching.
- Familiarity with banquet operations, high-volume event turnover, and buffet replenishment cycles.
- Basic English communication skills; Arabic proficiency is a strong advantage.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads up to 25kg.
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality certification preferred.
