Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Stock Manager (Gestionnaire de stock) to oversee inventory operations, optimize stock levels, and ensure efficient warehouse management. The ideal candidate will analyze store activity via dashboards, monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts, and coordinate replenishment processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Analysis: Evaluate and analyze store activity using dashboard metrics and KPIs to forecast demand and optimize stock turnover.
- Stock Level Management: Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels in real-time to prevent shortages and overstock situations.
- Replenishment Planning: Initiate and oversee replenishment orders, coordinating with suppliers and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Warehouse Organization: Organize warehouse layout, implement labeling systems, and ensure proper storage conditions for all products.
- Cycle Counting & Audits: Conduct regular cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and perform periodic inventory audits.
- Reporting & Documentation: Generate daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports; maintain accurate records of stock movements, receipts, and issues.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in inventory processes and implement best practices for cost reduction and accuracy.
- Team Coordination: Supervise warehouse staff, assign tasks, and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Stock Manager, Inventory Controller, or Warehouse Supervisor (minimum 3 years).
- Strong proficiency in inventory management software (ERP, WMS) and advanced Excel skills.
- Solid understanding of supply chain principles, demand forecasting, and stock optimization techniques.
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to interpret data from dashboards and generate actionable insights.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills in French and Arabic; English is a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with barcode scanning systems and RFID technology.
- Knowledge of lean inventory practices (JIT, Kanban).
- Familiarity with customs regulations and import/export procedures in Algeria.
- Certification in Supply Chain (APICS, CPIM) is advantageous.
Work Environment
Based in Algiers, Algeria. This role involves working in a warehouse/office setting with occasional physical activity. Standard working hours with potential for overtime during peak periods.
