Role Overview
We are seeking experienced Waiter / Waitress professionals to join a reputed restaurant group operating across Qatar and Kuwait. This role demands a polished hospitality professional capable of delivering exceptional guest experiences in a high-volume, upscale dining environment. The ideal candidate will combine strong service standards with the ability to thrive in a multicultural, fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and manage seating arrangements to optimize floor flow and guest comfort
- Present menus with detailed knowledge of dishes, ingredients, preparation methods, and beverage pairings
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, ensuring special requests and dietary restrictions are communicated clearly to the kitchen
- Serve meals and drinks following established service sequences and timing standards
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience, promptly addressing any concerns or additional requests
- Process payments efficiently, handling cash, credit, and digital transactions with accuracy
- Maintain impeccable table settings, cleanliness, and organization of service stations before, during, and after service
- Collaborate closely with kitchen, bar, and host teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including food handling and allergy protocols
- Participate in pre-shift briefings, training sessions, and menu tastings to stay current on offerings and promotions
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Waiter / Waitress in a full-service restaurant, hotel, or fine dining establishment
- Strong command of English; Arabic language skills are a significant advantage
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-first mindset
- Ability to memorize extensive menus, daily specials, and wine lists
- Proficiency with POS systems and order management technology
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended shifts
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and split shifts as required
- Valid work authorization for Qatar and/or Kuwait
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in high-end or multi-outlet restaurant groups in the GCC region
- Formal hospitality training or certification (e.g., food safety, service excellence)
- Knowledge of international cuisines, wine regions, and cocktail preparation
- Demonstrated ability to train or mentor junior service staff
- Experience with reservation and table management systems
