Role Overview
LEONI, a global leader in energy and data management for the automotive industry, is seeking a Specialist or Lead Specialist in Material Compliance to join our team in Tunisia. This role is critical in ensuring our products meet all regulatory and customer requirements for material compliance, including REACH, RoHS, and other global standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret global material compliance regulations (e.g., REACH, RoHS, ELV, WEEE) and assess impact on products and supply chain.
- Manage material data collection from suppliers using IMDS (International Material Data System) or equivalent platforms.
- Conduct compliance assessments for new and existing products, ensuring full documentation and traceability.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and quality teams to integrate compliance requirements into product development and sourcing processes.
- Prepare and maintain compliance documentation, reports, and declarations for customers and regulatory bodies.
- Support internal and external audits related to material compliance.
- Provide training and guidance to cross-functional teams on material compliance topics.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in material compliance, regulatory affairs, or a similar role within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of global material compliance regulations (REACH, RoHS, ELV, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with IMDS or other material data management systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
Preferred:
- Experience with supply chain compliance management.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or similar quality management systems.
- Certification in material compliance or environmental management.
