Role Overview

Core Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute detailed functional test cases and test scenarios based on business requirements and technical specifications for HR software modules.
- Perform end-to-end functional testing including integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT) across multiple HR domains such as payroll, talent management, time & attendance, and benefits administration.
- Collaborate closely with product owners, business analysts, and developers to clarify requirements, identify test gaps, and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Document, track, and report defects using industry-standard tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps), providing clear reproduction steps, severity assessment, and verification of fixes.
- Contribute to test automation initiatives by identifying candidate test cases for automation and supporting the maintenance of automated regression suites.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure quality is built in from the start.
- Validate data integrity, business logic, and workflow compliance across complex HR configurations and localization requirements.
- Support release management activities by performing smoke tests, sanity checks, and post-deployment validation in staging and production environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience as a Functional Tester, QA Analyst, or Software Test Engineer in an enterprise software environment.
- Strong expertise in test case design techniques (equivalence partitioning, boundary value analysis, decision tables, state transition testing).
- Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Zephyr, TestRail, qTest) and defect tracking systems.
- Solid understanding of SQL for data validation and backend verification.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to articulate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluency in French and English (written and spoken) required for this international role.
Preferred Skills
- Experience testing HRIS/HCM platforms, payroll systems, or workforce management solutions.
- Knowledge of test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar) and scripting languages (Java, Python, JavaScript).
- ISTQB Foundation or Advanced certification.
- Exposure to API testing (Postman, RestAssured) and performance testing concepts.
- Understanding of GDPR, data privacy, and localization testing for multi-country HR deployments.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure Pipelines) and DevOps practices.
