Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Specialist Business Applications to join our Digital Delivery team in Muscat, Oman. This role sits within the IDS & CI function under the People, Technology & Culture stream. The successful candidate will drive the implementation, optimization, and support of critical business applications across the enterprise, ensuring alignment with OPEX and CAP budget controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of enterprise business applications including ERP, CRM, and custom digital solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define solution architecture, and deliver scalable application integrations.
• Manage application lifecycle from requirements analysis through testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee budget planning and control for both operational expenditure (OPEX) and capital expenditure (CAP) related to business applications.
• Ensure system reliability, performance, and security compliance with organizational standards.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members and stakeholders.
• Drive digital transformation initiatives leveraging IDS (Information Delivery Systems) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Conduct gap analysis and recommend enhancements to improve business process efficiency.

Requirements

Hard Skills

• Proven experience as a Senior Business Applications Specialist or similar role in large-scale digital delivery environments.
• Deep expertise in enterprise application platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, ServiceNow).
• Strong background in application integration using APIs, middleware, and event-driven architectures.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) and version control (Git).
• Solid understanding of database management (SQL, NoSQL), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with ITIL/ITSM frameworks, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and project management tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Experience managing OPEX/CAP budgets for technology initiatives.
