Key Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, peeling, and portioning vegetables, fruits, meats, and other food items
• Assist line cooks and chefs with daily preparation tasks to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work station in compliance with health and safety regulations
• Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate shortages to the supervisor
• Follow recipes and portion controls accurately to minimize waste and ensure consistency
• Store ingredients properly in designated areas, labeling and dating containers as required
• Support the kitchen team during peak service hours by expediting prep work and restocking stations
• Adhere to all company policies, including uniform and hygiene standards

Required Qualifications

• Prior experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a hotel, restaurant, or catering environment
• Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Food handler certification or equivalent training is a plus
