Role Overview
Doha Bank is seeking a seasoned technology leader to serve as Head – Data Intelligence & Analytics, based in Doha, Qatar. This senior executive role is responsible for leading the bank's Data Intelligence & Analytics department, driving enterprise-wide data strategy, architecture, and governance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Data Intelligence & Analytics department, setting the strategic direction for data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- Define and implement enterprise Data Architecture frameworks to ensure scalable, secure, and efficient data ecosystems.
- Oversee Enterprise Data Management policies, ensuring data quality, consistency, and accessibility across all business units.
- Establish and enforce robust Data Governance standards, ensuring regulatory compliance and data privacy in line with industry best practices.
- Drive advanced analytics and business intelligence initiatives to uncover insights that support Doha Bank's strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with C-suite executives and department heads to align data initiatives with broader business goals.
- Build and mentor a high-performing team of data engineers, data scientists, and analytics professionals.
- Evaluate and implement cutting-edge data technologies, tools, and platforms to maintain competitive advantage.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Extensive experience in Data Architecture, Enterprise Data Management, and Data Governance within the banking or financial services sector.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale data transformation and analytics programs.
- Deep understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, ETL processes, and business intelligence platforms.
- Strong knowledge of data regulatory frameworks and compliance standards relevant to the financial industry.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and strategic planning capabilities.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
