Role Overview
The Junior Programme Support Associate will contribute to the implementation of the Youth for Impact programme in Tunis, Tunisia. This role provides programmatic, administrative, and coordination support to ensure effective delivery of youth-focused initiatives aimed at building resilience, civic engagement, and positive social impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day programme support for the Youth for Impact initiative, including planning, monitoring, and reporting activities.
- Assist in the preparation of workplans, progress reports, briefing notes, and other programme documentation.
- Coordinate with partner organizations, government entities, and community stakeholders to facilitate programme implementation.
- Support data collection, analysis, and maintenance of programme databases and records.
- Assist in organizing workshops, training sessions, meetings, and events related to youth engagement.
- Contribute to budget tracking and financial monitoring of programme activities.
- Liaise with UNODC regional and headquarters offices to ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
- Draft correspondence, communications, and presentations as required.
- Support monitoring and evaluation (M&E) processes to assess programme outcomes and impact.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in political science, international relations, social sciences, public administration, youth development, or a related field. A first-level university degree (Bachelor's) in the above fields combined with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted.
- Experience: A minimum of two years (with a Master's degree) or four years (with a Bachelor's degree) of progressively responsible experience in programme support, project management, or a related area. Experience working with youth-focused programmes or United Nations system is desirable.
- Languages: Fluency in English and French is required. Knowledge of Arabic is desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Familiarity with project management tools and data management systems.
