Host / Hostess – Downtown Rotana Hotel, Bahrain

We are currently seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Host / Hostess to join the Food & Beverage team at Downtown Rotana Hotel, located in the heart of Manama, Bahrain. Key Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival, providing a positive first impression of the hotel
• Manage reservations, table assignments, and seating arrangements to ensure smooth dining operations
• Escort guests to their tables and present menus while answering questions about food and beverage offerings
• Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery
• Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints with professionalism and efficiency
• Maintain an organized and clean reception and waiting area at all times
• Monitor restaurant capacity and manage waitlists during peak hours
• Assist with private events, VIP guest arrangements, and special dining experiences
• Process payments and handle billing inquiries accurately when required
• Uphold the highest standards of hospitality, grooming, and professional conduct in line with Rotana brand standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a host/hostess role within a hotel, restaurant, or high-end hospitality establishment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a natural ability to engage with guests
• Excellent presentation, grooming, and professional demeanor
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume dining environment
• Proficiency in reservation management systems and point-of-sale (POS) software
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
