About the Role
We are seeking an experienced BIM Manager to join a leading engineering consultancy firm based in Egypt. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving Building Information Modeling strategy, standards, and execution across multidisciplinary projects spanning mechanical, electrical, and structural disciplines. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary authority on BIM processes, ensuring digital delivery excellence from concept through handover.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation, and enforcement of the firm's BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and all associated standards across active projects.
- Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary BIM models (MEP, structural, architectural) to ensure clash-free, coordinated deliverables.
- Oversee the BIM team, providing mentorship, technical guidance, and performance management to modelers and coordinators.
- Establish and maintain Common Data Environments (CDE) and ensure compliance with ISO 19650 workflows.
- Collaborate with project managers, design engineers, and clients to align BIM deliverables with project milestones and contractual requirements.
- Drive the adoption of 4D (scheduling) and 5D (cost) BIM integration where applicable.
- Conduct regular model audits, quality checks, and coordination meetings to identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Evaluate and recommend new BIM tools, technologies, and workflows to enhance productivity and project outcomes.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure all models meet local regulatory standards and client-specific requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Proven track record working within engineering consultancy firms, with deep understanding of consultancy project lifecycles.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience supervising BIM coordinators and modelers.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary projects involving mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems alongside structural and architectural disciplines.
- Excellent coordination and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to resolve complex design conflicts under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and the broader Autodesk BIM ecosystem.
- Solid understanding of BIM standards and protocols (ISO 19650, openBIM frameworks).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present BIM strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Dynamo scripting or other visual programming tools for Revit automation.Familiarity with BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud platforms for cloud-based collaboration.Knowledge of IFC standards and interoperability between different BIM authoring tools.Background in large-scale infrastructure or building projects within the Middle East region.Professional certification such as Autodesk Certified Professional or buildingSMART credentials.Experience in digital twin development and asset information management.What Makes This Opportunity Stand Out
