We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Machinist (also known as a Machine Operator, CNC Operator, or Workshop Technician) to join an industrial workshop in Morocco. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work, precision manufacturing, and operating both manual and computer-controlled machine tools. You will be responsible for producing high-quality metal and mechanical components that meet strict technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain manual and CNC machines such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drilling equipment.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T) symbols.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials for each machining operation.
- Perform precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection instruments to ensure part accuracy.
- Monitor machine performance during operation and make adjustments to maintain quality output.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on workshop machinery to minimize downtime.
- Follow strict workplace safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Collaborate with engineers, quality inspectors, and production supervisors to meet project deadlines.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Machinist, CNC Operator, or Workshop Technician in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes including turning, milling, grinding, and drilling.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.
- Familiarity with CNC programming (G-code / M-code) is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators).
- Good physical stamina and attention to detail for repetitive precision tasks.
- Vocational diploma or technical certification in mechanical engineering, machining, or a related field is preferred.
