Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Planning Engineer to join our team in Egypt. This role is critical to the successful delivery of construction and consultancy projects, requiring a professional with strong expertise in project scheduling, cost control, and contract management. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in managing project timelines, preparing detailed reports, and ensuring all project milestones are met on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules using industry-standard planning tools such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.


• Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQs) to ensure accuracy and alignment with project specifications.


• Manage and track project claims, variations, and contractual correspondence in accordance with agreed terms.


• Conduct regular progress reporting and provide analytical insights to project stakeholders and senior management.


• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including design, procurement, and site execution to ensure seamless project delivery.


• Monitor project controls including cost, schedule, and resource allocation to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.


• Support the preparation of tender documents, contract agreements, and subcontractor evaluations.


• Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations, industry standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

• Relevant experience in construction or consultancy environments.


• Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to interpret complex project data.


• Solid knowledge of BOQs, claims, contracts, and project controls.


• Proficiency in planning software and project management tools.


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.


• Detail-oriented with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with FIDIC contract conditions and international project standards.


• Familiarity with quantity surveying practices and cost estimation methodologies.


• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, multi-disciplinary project environments.
