About the Role
Join the award-winning five-star Mövenpick Hotel Bahrain, located adjacent to Bahrain International Airport with a magnificent view of the sprawling lagoon. We are seeking a dedicated and professional Waiter to become part of the esteemed team at Silk's Restaurant, delivering world-class dining experiences to our distinguished guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional food and beverage service to all restaurant guests, ensuring a memorable and refined dining experience
- Greet and seat guests warmly, present menus, and offer knowledgeable recommendations on food and beverage selections
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them promptly and clearly to the kitchen and bar teams
- Serve meals, beverages, and accompaniments in a timely and professional manner, adhering to the hotel's five-star service standards
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, daily specials, and allergen information
- Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints with professionalism, escalating issues to management when necessary
- Ensure all tables are properly set, clean, and well-stocked before, during, and after service periods
- Process bills and payments accurately, handling cash and card transactions in accordance with hotel policies
- Collaborate closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and fellow service team members to ensure seamless restaurant operations
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the dining area, complying with all health and safety regulations
- Participate in pre-service briefings, training sessions, and team meetings as required
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including side work, restocking, and end-of-day cleaning tasks
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in a waiter or food service role, preferably within a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant environment
- Strong understanding of food and beverage service techniques, including table service, wine service, and formal dining etiquette
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant setting
- Professional appearance and demeanor with a strong attention to detail
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Basic knowledge of POS systems and restaurant technology is an advantage
- Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are a plus
