Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General Practitioner to join our medical team. In this critical role, you will provide comprehensive primary care and emergency medical services to patients across all age groups, from pediatric to geriatric. Your expertise will be essential in delivering high-quality acute care, preventive medicine, and chronic disease management within a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Acute & Emergency Care: Act as a first responder for incoming emergencies. Efficiently triage, resuscitate, stabilize, and manage critically ill or injured patients.
- Primary Care: Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions, including infections, injuries, and chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, and respiratory disorders.
- Patient Examination: Conduct thorough physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests (lab work, imaging), and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Preventive Medicine: Provide health education, vaccinations, routine screenings, and lifestyle counseling to promote wellness and early detection of diseases.
- Medical Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR) for all patient encounters, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with specialists, nurses, and allied health professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Valid medical license to practice as a General Practitioner in Oman (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of clinical experience in a hospital or primary care setting, with demonstrated competence in emergency management.
- Clinical Skills: Proficient in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), basic life support (BLS), and emergency procedures such as intubation, suturing, and fracture immobilization.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, empathy, problem-solving, and ability to work under pressure in a multidisciplinary team.
- Language: Fluency in English and Arabic is preferred to effectively communicate with a diverse patient population.
