About the Role

The Director of Recreation at the Royal Beach Club leads all indoor and outdoor recreational operations, including beach services, pool management, golf, fitness, and entertainment activities. This senior leadership position ensures an exceptional guest experience while driving operational excellence across the club's leisure facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of beach, pool, golf, fitness center, and entertainment areas
• Develop and implement recreational programs and activities for guests and members
• Manage departmental budgets, staffing, and resource allocation
• Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and service standards
• Lead, train, and mentor a team of recreation supervisors and attendants
• Collaborate with other departments to enhance overall guest satisfaction
• Monitor equipment maintenance and facility upkeep
• Conduct regular inspections and performance evaluations
• Drive revenue through club events, memberships, and premium services

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Sports Management, or related field
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in recreation management, preferably in luxury resorts or private clubs
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Knowledge of pool and beach safety protocols
• Proficiency in budget planning and financial reporting
• Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus

Preferred Skills

• Experience with wellness and fitness programming
• Certification in lifeguarding or first aid
• Background in golf operations
• Knowledge of Bahrain's tourism and hospitality market
