Role Overview

The Director of Engineering at The St. Regis Jakarta provides high-level property maintenance leadership and is responsible for the overall upkeep, safety, and functionality of the hotel building and grounds. This role ensures that all engineering systems operate efficiently while maintaining the luxury standards expected of the St. Regis brand.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all maintenance operations including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Manage the engineering budget, including expenses, capital projects, and inventory.
• Lead and mentor the engineering team, ensuring proper training and adherence to safety protocols.
• Coordinate with other departments to support events, renovations, and guest satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, regulations, and brand standards.
• Conduct regular property inspections and audits to identify improvement areas.

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; proven experience in hotel engineering management; strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance; excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Preferred: Experience with luxury hotel brands; certifications in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing; demonstrated budget management and strategic planning abilities.
