About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Handy Man to join our Engineering & Facilities team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of minor plumbing repairs and general maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. This position is ideal for a hands-on professional who takes pride in keeping systems running efficiently.

Core Responsibilities

• Fix minor plumbing problems including unclogging drains, plunging toilets, and repairing leaky spigots and faucets.
• Perform routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify and address issues early.
• Assist with basic electrical repairs such as replacing light fixtures, switches, and outlets.
• Conduct general building maintenance tasks including patching drywall, painting, and carpentry work.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and prioritize tasks based on urgency.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Document completed work and report any major issues to the supervisor.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Handy Man, Maintenance Technician, or similar role.
• Solid knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work in various conditions.
• Good communication skills and a customer-service mindset.

Preferred Skills

• Vocational training or certification in a related trade (e.g., plumbing, electrical).
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and building codes.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
