Role Overview
As a WSD Production Officer, you will be instrumental in driving the efficiency and effectiveness of our production operations. This role focuses on completing the production plan through meticulous scheduling, personnel assignment, and performance monitoring. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that production targets are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Core Responsibilities
- Production Planning & Scheduling: Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to meet demand. Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and maintenance teams to ensure resource availability.
- Personnel Management: Assign tasks and responsibilities to production staff based on skill sets and workload. Monitor performance, provide coaching, and address any issues to maintain productivity.
- Progress Monitoring: Track production output against targets using KPIs and dashboards. Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to keep operations on track.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all products meet company and regulatory standards. Conduct regular inspections and collaborate with the quality team to resolve non-conformances.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead or participate in lean manufacturing initiatives, process optimization, and waste reduction projects. Document best practices and standard operating procedures.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare accurate production reports, shift summaries, and variance analyses. Maintain records of equipment usage, downtime, and personnel attendance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, preferably in a supervisory or officer role.
- Strong understanding of production planning principles, ERP systems, and scheduling tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data analysis.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in a production setting.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
