About the Role
We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic academic professional to join our College as an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in Medical Radiography. This role is pivotal in advancing the College's mission and vision through the development of technical, academic, and occupationally-aligned programs in radiologic sciences. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching excellence, curriculum innovation, scholarly research, and clinical education partnerships within a dynamic healthcare education environment in Qatar.
Core Responsibilities
- Design, deliver, and assess undergraduate and graduate courses in medical radiography, including radiographic positioning, imaging physics, radiation protection, and advanced imaging modalities.
- Develop and maintain curriculum aligned with international accreditation standards (JRCERT, CAAHEP) and local regulatory requirements.
- Supervise student clinical placements and coordinate with affiliated hospitals and imaging centers to ensure high-quality practical training.
- Conduct and publish peer-reviewed research in radiologic sciences, medical imaging technology, radiation dose optimization, or radiography education.
- Secure external research funding through grants, industry collaborations, and government initiatives.
- Mentor and advise students on academic progression, research projects, and career pathways in medical imaging.
- Participate in departmental governance, program review, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Engage in professional service activities, including membership in national and international radiography societies (e.g., ISRRT, ASRT, EFRS).
Required Qualifications
- Doctoral degree (PhD or EdD) in Medical Radiography, Radiologic Sciences, Medical Physics, Biomedical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Current professional certification/registration as a Radiographer/Radiologic Technologist (e.g., ARRT, HCPC, or equivalent Gulf Cooperation Council licensure eligibility).
- Minimum of 3 years of full-time clinical experience in diagnostic radiography.
- Demonstrated university-level teaching experience with a strong portfolio of course development and student evaluation.
- Active research record with publications in indexed journals (Scopus/Web of Science) in medical imaging or radiography education.
- Excellent command of English (instruction language); Arabic proficiency is advantageous.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with hybrid/online learning platforms (Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle) and simulation-based radiography education.
- Expertise in advanced imaging modalities: MRI, CT, Interventional Radiography, Mammography, or Nuclear Medicine.
- Track record of successful grant applications (QNRF, NPRP, or international funding bodies).
- Familiarity with Middle East higher education accreditation frameworks (QQA, CAA, ABET).
- Leadership experience in program coordination, department chair roles, or clinical education directorship.
- Interprofessional education (IPE) collaboration with medicine, nursing, and allied health programs.
