Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Data Center Logistics Technician to join our operations team in Doha, Qatar. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end physical lifecycle of server hardware and networking equipment, ensuring seamless logistics, warranty management, and escalation handling within a high-availability data center environment. Your expertise will directly support uptime and operational excellence.

Core Responsibilities

• Perform assigned tasks related to receiving, inspecting, and staging inbound hardware shipments, including servers, storage arrays, switches, and cabling infrastructure.
• Escalate complex or time-sensitive issues during high-volume work activity or escalation-based situations to appropriate engineering or vendor support teams.
• Coordinate directly with suppliers to initiate warranty claims and process failed vendor hardware devices, ensuring timely replacements and RMA tracking.
• Maintain accurate inventory records of spare parts, consumables, and decommissioned assets using internal asset management systems.
• Assist with rack-and-stack, cable management, and physical installation of new equipment per data center standards.
• Support decommissioning and secure disposal of retired hardware, following data destruction and environmental compliance policies.
• Document all logistics workflows, incident reports, and vendor interactions for continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in a data center logistics, IT asset management, or warehouse environment.
• Familiarity with vendor RMA processes and warranty claim procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods; comfortable working in a shift-based schedule.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced, escalation-driven setting.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with data center infrastructure management (DCIM) tools and barcode scanning systems.
• Knowledge of ESD-safe handling, cable types (fiber, copper, power), and basic networking hardware.
• Certification in CompTIA Server+, A+, or similar hardware technician credential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
