Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to oversee the finance department operations, set strategic goals, and ensure robust financial management. This role involves administering and supervising all financial operations, monitoring cash flow, and implementing internal controls to drive business performance and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the finance department, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Set departmental goals and objectives aligned with organizational strategy.
- Administer and supervise financial operations: general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and tax compliance.
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and optimize working capital.
- Implement and supervise internal control systems to safeguard assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Prepare and present financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses to senior leadership.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support commercial decision-making and profitability analysis.
- Manage external audit relationships and ensure adherence to IFRS/local GAAP standards.
- Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree or professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) preferred.
- Minimum 7-10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.
- Proven track record in financial management, cash flow optimization, and internal controls implementation.
- Strong knowledge of Bahraini financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel.
