Modern Knowledge Schools is seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Middle School Math Teacher to join our team in Bahrain. This role is critical in delivering a rigorous and engaging mathematics curriculum that prepares students for academic success and lifelong learning. About the Role

As a Middle School Math Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping the mathematical foundation of students aged 11-14. You will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing math lessons that align with our school's educational standards and goals. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of middle school math concepts, including pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, and data analysis, and will be skilled at making these topics accessible and interesting to diverse learners.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that meet curriculum objectives and cater to various learning styles.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes active participation and respect.
• Assess student progress regularly through assignments, tests, and projects, and provide constructive feedback to support growth.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure student success and address individual needs.
• Integrate technology and real-world applications into math instruction to enhance relevance and engagement.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in math education and pedagogy.
• Supervise and support students during extracurricular activities, as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance in accordance with school policies.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Experience: At least 2 years of successful teaching experience at the middle or secondary school level, preferably in an international school setting.
• Certification: Valid teaching certification/license in mathematics or secondary education.
• Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using educational technology and learning management systems.
• Attributes: Passion for teaching, patience, adaptability, and a commitment to fostering a love for mathematics in students.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with inquiry-based or project-based learning approaches.
• Familiarity with the American or international curriculum standards, such as Common Core or IB.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for students with varying abilities, including English language learners and those with special educational needs.
• Experience living and working in the Middle East, particularly in Bahrain, is an asset.
