About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Accountant to lead the accounting function and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This role involves analyzing financial data, preparing reports and projections, and managing automated financial systems. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in accounting principles and a proven ability to drive financial efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze financial data and prepare comprehensive financial reports, statements, and projections.
• Manage and supervise the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
• Coordinate with external auditors and ensure compliance with local regulations and international standards.
• Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial performance, providing strategic recommendations to senior management.
• Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and tax filings.
• Stay updated on accounting standards and regulatory changes affecting the Bahrain market.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (CPA, CMA, ACCA) strongly preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
