About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Safety Officer for a full-time position based in Doha, Qatar. This role is ideal for a dedicated HSE professional with 5–8 years of hands-on experience in engineering, safety management, or a related field. The Safety Officer will play a key part in maintaining a safe work environment, implementing safety protocols, and ensuring compliance with local and international standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures in line with company and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare and maintain accurate incident reports, safety documentation, and training records.
- Deliver safety orientation and ongoing training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety measures into daily operations and project planning.
- Liaise with external safety authorities, auditors, and inspectors as required.
- Lead emergency response drills and ensure all safety equipment is properly maintained and accessible.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety Management, or a directly related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of progressive HSE experience, preferably in an industrial or construction environment.
- Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of local HSE laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
