Job Purpose
Worley, a global leader in energy, chemicals, and resources, is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our team in Oman. In this role, you will partner with customers to deliver complex projects and create value across the entire lifecycle of their assets. You will provide technical expertise, lead engineering design, and ensure project success within a collaborative and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage civil engineering design and analysis for a variety of projects, including feasibility studies, conceptual design, detailed engineering, and construction support.
- Prepare and review technical specifications, design criteria, calculations, drawings, and reports.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including structural, mechanical, electrical, and process engineers, to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, local regulations, and company quality and safety procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and drafters.
- Participate in project planning, scheduling, and cost estimation activities.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and resolve technical issues.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with a strong background in the energy, chemicals, or resources sectors.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
- Proven experience in the design of foundations, structural steel, concrete structures, roads, drainage, and earthworks.
- Proficiency in civil engineering software such as STAAD, ETABS, SAP2000, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and GIS applications.
- Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (e.g., ACI, AISC, ASCE, IBC, ASTM).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a multicultural team environment.
- Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
