Job Overview

The Assistant Director of Finance is a key leadership role within the Finance and Accounting department. The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Office, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and legal regulations.
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering professional growth and productivity.
• Implement and maintain accounting software and systems for optimal performance.
• Provide strategic financial insights to senior management.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. MBA or CPA preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel.
• Knowledge: Deep understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience in the hospitality industry or hotel accounting.
• Familiarity with Tunisian tax laws and regulations.
• Multilingual ability (English, Arabic, French) is a plus.
